Alf's Motorcycles....How it all began

The business began in early 1988. The catalyst for this was the closure of Bol D’Or Motorcycles in 1987, a well respected business in Worthing of which Allan Hubbard (‘Alf’) was a technician, having served his apprenticeship with Hyde Motorcycles in Horsham, moving onto Bol D’or, Alf’s love of Ducati’s started here, responsible for PDI-ing and servicing the early bevel machines, along with the early Honda superbikes, CB750’s and the like.Whilst there he met Nigel Hunt (our workshop foreman)

The company is now a solus Kawasaki dealership. The premises has over 2500sq ft with a dedicated floor to clothing, parts and accessories.

THE Alf behind Alf's Motorcycles and sole owner who actually gets his hands

dirty! Specialist technician and sole proprietor.Alf prepared and serviced our

own 944SS (Sound of Thunder championship winning machine), 748R, 916SP,

996. Alf is the driving force for the respected Endurance race team. Starting in the early days within the UK KRC endurance Championship from 1997 through to the present day. Currently campaigning a Kawasaki ZX-10R 2009 in full Super Production specification. To aid the race preparation Alf has a bespoke Dyno in addition to his mastery of spanner wielding, tuning and servicing skills.

Workshop Foreman Nigel Hunt

Nigel started his career within the motorcycle industry in 1973 amassing a wealth of knowledge and experience of many different machines spanning over 35 years. He achieved National Runner-up position in Suzuki's Technician Of The Year competition in 1993 before joining the company in 1994.

Neil Finch Most recent appointee to the workshop.Neil has been a technician

since1988 starting at Kawasaki Horsham then P&H Crawley.

He has a wealth of experience of multi franchise machines.

Dez

Dez has been working on Kawasaki machines since 1988 and has

been with Alf's since 1997. He is our Master technician and has

recently gained accreditation from Kawasaki Motors for his skills.

Graham Sole

Graham has recently joined the workshop team and is currently

attending Chichester college on a day release scheme, ensuring

that he is armed with the a sound grounding in motorcycle technology

as well as enrolling on dedicated Kawasaki run courses.

This 'apprenticeship' arrangement ensures the necessary skills are

passed on for the future of an ever evolving world of motorcycles.

Graham Pope

Driver and Valet. Graham has been riding motorcycles for 32 years

and can make our New and Used stock Gleam!
